Mother’s Day

Happy Mother’s Day! My day was absolutely perfect. Nothing outrageous but just so dang nice. I told Ryan that all I really wanted for Mother’s Day was a good cup of coffee and a nice walk downtown. So that’s what we did! We had breakfast at Queen Street Grocery and wandered the streets of Charleston. It was absolutely beautiful. And I tried about 10 times to get a nice picture with my kids and these are as good as we could do, haha!

We stopped by a farmer’s market on the way home and both of my boys devoured some boiled peanuts! They are little southern boys for sure!

I even got to take a nap today. It was a pretty great day. Here’s what Emmett made me at school for Mother’s Day. That face!

I am so lucky to be surrounded by great examples of moms all around me. My friends who are just starting out as moms, learning as we go but completely supporting and helping each other. And of course the other moms in my life (like my own) with grown children who have done it right and have taught me that simply loving and encouraging your children with whatever they decide to do makes all the difference. Moms make the world go round!
