It’s a….!

While I had been secretly holding out for a girl for the past couple months, I just had a hunch it was a boy. Can anyone imagine Ryan producing anything other then male?? Haha! The ultrasound gave our little boy away right away and while I was honestly disappointed for one solid minute, I am totally thrilled now that Emmett is getting a little brother. Here are some of the things that came to mind when I was thinking about how great two boys are going to be:

1. I can buy all of my boys’ toiletries in bulk at Costco because I assume all three of them will use the same thing

2. The two brothers can share a room and sleep on bunkbeds, giving us more space in the house (and bonding time for them!)

3. Because they are so close in age I can buy them matching outfits

4. I don’t have to become a crazy dance mom and try to live vicariously through a daughter

5. I’ll never have to explain getting a period to anyone

6. You don’t have to worry about your teenage son running off with someone they met online (as much)

7. We can buy them big joint Christmas presents

8. What can be better than brothers??

(Look how our boys already look so much like each other! Both at 20 weeks, Emmett’s on the left and the new baby boy is on the right)

Obviously there is much more to this list but it’s what just came to my mind right now ๐Ÿ™‚

Once our new baby boy is born in October, our family will be complete and I’ll officially be outnumbered!

Maybe one day we’ll get a girl dog… ๐Ÿ˜‰

  1. Congrats!! I’ll say from experience, having 2 boys has been amazing! All kinds of bonuses. They share clothes, toys and a very special bond. Plus they love to rough house and I don’t have to worry as much as I would if tru was wrestling my baby girl. ๐Ÿ˜‰

  2. Congratulation! Of course I agree with the above comment, being the mom of 2 boys too! I can remember taking the boys to Mc Donalds and my guys were in jeans, t-shirts, basic tennis shoes, There was a mom there with twin girls they had all kinds of frilly things on socks, hair bows, bracelets, etc, and I remember saying to Mike boys are so much easier and cheaper. You’ll have to spoil a niece once in a while, that helps fill in the girl cravings. Just remember that boy wardrobes are cheaper so you can continue your shoe thing or whatever your thing is!!
