Baby boy’s nursery is now all ready for his arrival! The original idea was no theme, just a color palette: blues, greys, and creams. After I started putting the room together, it really started to take on a nautical theme. Today I decided to go all in and do the whole room in a fish/nautical/ocean thing and I love it. Here’s how it turned out!

We found the glider on Craigslist for about $50. It came with grey cushions but since I wasn’t crazy about the color, we dyed them a dark blue. The side table is something we’ve had for a long time and Ryan found the lamp in a house he is flipping! I love how the little pops of brass in the room play to the nautical theme.

We bought this dresser from a consignment store and turned it into a changing table. I love that is has all of the storage with the drawers that are filled with diapers and onesies. Here’s a close up on the gallery wall:

The Winnie the Pooh art is actually a card that I got from my aunt for my shower – it’s not nautical but I love it! The picture in the blue frame is also a card I bought from Target. The map picture is very special to us because we found this map on our old boat on Lake Erie! We cut it up and put it on a frame and I think it goes with the room perfectly. The circle mirror is from Target and the whale is from Babies R Us.

Ryan made this bookshelf for the room and I love that he put the hooks on it. I imagine we’ll hang our boy’s bath towels and jackets on it. The “You’re the only fish in the sea for me” print is from Bed Bath and Beyond.

Here’s his crib with a felt garland I purchased off Etsy. I also bought some grey sheets that we’ll switch out when the stripes are dirty.

Lastly, here’s his little closet!

The end! Can’t wait for this little guy to get here so we can enjoy this room!
