I saw these sweater leggings on Pinterest and could not get over how cozy and wintery they looked. I found a similar pair at Target for less than $20 and decided I couldn’t pass them up! These leggings are super soft and I love the gray/white/black pattern – but be warned – they definitely stretch out during the day while you are wearing them!
It’s raining here in Columbus this morning which gives me the perfect excuse to stay inside and get stuff done around the house. Of course one of my favorite Sunday morning activities is planning out our meals for the week (with help from my fave Pinterest). Here’s what’s on the docket:
Sunday: Crockpot Tomato Soup and fancy grilled cheese (you know, with good bread and cheese other then cheddar)
Monday: Chicken, Bacon and Avocado Chopped Salad. I’m renaming this salad, “Ryan’s Favorite Salad” because he couldn’t get enough of it the first time I made it. Winner.
Tuesday: Wild Rice Casserole
Thursday: Coconut Shrimp and sweet potato fries
We obviously don’t always stick to the meal plan but it helps me get a handle on the week and eliminate the “what are we having for dinner” worries.
Okay, time to get cracking on my Sunday chores, which I secretly love doing. Time when I get to fold laundry and watch Housewives by myself? I’ll take it!
Bacon. The second post should definitely be about bacon.
After gorging ourselves at the lunch buffet at our favorite Indian restaurant last weekend (http://www.aabindiarestaurant.com/) we stopped at the super cute Rife’s Market in Grandview, looking for some fresh dog bones for our pups. Here’s the part when our life changed. We had the butcher slice fresh bacon for us. Why oh why have I bought generic bacon for so long??
We can’t get over how good it was and how price comparable it was to buying prepackaged bacon at the grocery store. We’ve tasted real bacon and we’re never going back.
Oh, P.S? Cook bacon in the oven. It comes out picture-perfect every time. Directions here
Trying to think of a blog name is not such an easy task apparently. Especially because after I said them out loud to my husband, I quickly regretted it. “Everywhere Love”? Saying that potential blog name out loud is embarrassing. Ryan informed me tonight that he wants to write movie reviews on this blog so I think he felt like he had some sort of stake in the naming. “Everywhere Love” is not so conducive to reviews of the latest Jason Statham movie (Ryan’s man crush). Here are some other names that were quickly axed:
– Itty Bitty Bloggy
-Minnesota My Love
-Love All Over
So I settled on Happy Little Honey which is really making me happy. Maybe that’s because the word “honey” always reminds me of my mom some how. As in the phrase, “What a little honey!” Yep, the more I look at it and the more I hear my mom’s voice in the title, the more I love it. Welcome to my first blog post with one of my favorite honeys.
